Jean has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and
Choreography from Indiana University, a Bachelor of Science and Master
of Medical Science in Clinical Nutrition from Emory University and a
Master of Social Work from East Tennessee State University in Johnson
City, TN. She holds the Advanced Practice Board Certification in
Diabetes Management, is a Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered
Dietitian and Certified Insulin Pump Trainer. Prior to joining the Liberty team,
Jean initiated and managed a recognized diabetes education program in
twelve rural medical centers in eastern Tennessee. Jean is the current
Chair for the specialty practice group Office and Clinic Based Diabetes
Educators of the American Association of Diabetes Educators. Jean enjoys
trail riding in the mountains of western North Carolina, cooking and
growing herbs.
