Kimberlie
received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Texas Woman’s
University in Dallas, Texas and has completed some Master’s course work
in the Family Nurse Practioner Program at Saint Louis University. She is
a Registered Professional Nurse and Certified Diabetes Educator, and
also holds certifications in Insulin Pump Training and Continuous
Glucose Monitoring. Kimberlie has 18 years of experience in the
healthcare field, with the majority of her experience being in the
Diabetes practice area. Prior to her position at Liberty, Kimberlie
worked in the Outpatient Diabetes Self-Management Program at Medical
Center of Lewisville in Lewisville, TX. She also worked at Medtronic
Diabetes for nine years, where she worked extensively with patients and
physicians training them on insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose
monitoring technologies.
Kimberlie is a professional member of the
American Association of Diabetes Educators, a Board Member of the
American Diabetes Association, and serves as the Diabetes Nurse Director
every summer at her local ADA sponsored diabetes camp for children.
Believing that every patient is a unique individual that requires unique
and personalized diabetes education and healthcare, Kimberlie
incorporates a very tailored and highly individualized approach in her
practice.
