Tracy works at
Liberty Medical Supply in the Healthy Living Program as a remote
Certified Diabetes Educator and is licensed a Registered Nurse in the
State of Arkansas.
Tracy has been a diabetes educator since 1997 and has
specialty certifications in insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose
monitoring. Prior to her job at Liberty, she worked for Medtronic
Diabetes as a Senior Diabetes Clinical Manager. Tracy has a special
interest in blood sugar management in persons involved in sports and
athletics and has had the opportunity to learn from both a professional
biker on Team Type 1 as well as from a professional cross country skier
who is on the US Olympic Cross Country Ski team.
Tracy also loves to work
with children who have diabetes and volunteer as a medical staff nurse
in my local diabetes camp every year. Prior to her becoming a Certified
Diabetes Educator, her background in nursing was in surgery and
cardiovascular intensive care.
